Lampshade Types
Multiway Mini ‘Clip-On’ Lampshades
Purpose: The smallest of my lampshade offering, these little shades simply slip over the top of your bulb. They are the perfect accessory for smaller or slimmer lamp bases, wall sconces or wall lights and chandeliers. Recommended for use with candle or similar smaller/slimmer style, low energy bulbs.
Composition: They are all lined with fire resistant, purpose-manufactured sheer white vinyl and are constructed with white, epoxy coated rings.
Sizes: They are available in one size only: 14cm bottom diameter x 7.8cm top diameter x 13cm high.
Standard Lampshades
Purpose: These lampshades are suitable for lamp bases (and many floor lamp bases) most commonly found in the UK, EU and worldwide. This style of shade has the fitting area at the bottom of the shade (which sits 4cm up from the frame base). They all come with adjustable and removeable widgets that can flex to the diameter of the fitting area of your lamp base.
Composition: They are all lined with fire resistant, purpose-manufactured vinyl or board (depending on your choice of shade lining) and are constructed with white, epoxy coated rings.
Sizes: All of my shade sizes, except for the multiway mini shade sizes, can be made with this type of fitting. I can also make bespoke shades with this type of fitting in a vast variety of sizes. Please see the Bespoke Styles & Sizes section.
Rod or Harp Lampshades
Purpose: These lampshades are suitable for rod or harp style lamp bases, more commonly found in the US. This style of shade has the fitting area at the top of the shade (which sits 2.5cm down from the frame top) and is secured in place by a screw-on finial. Finials, rod or harp components aren’t supplied.
Composition: They are all lined with fire resistant, purpose-manufactured vinyl or board (depending on your choice of shade lining) and are constructed with white, epoxy coated rings.
Sizes: I am a little more limited with size variations for this type of shade as the component parts only come in certain sizes. However, you do still have a variety of options available. If I can make this type of shade in your preferred lampshade design, you will see ‘Rod or Harp Lampshade’ in the drop-down buying options. Lampshades with Carriers
Purpose: This type of lampshade is sometimes more suitable for floor lamps and/or larger sized shades as they offer more stability. For those that are sticklers for detail like me, they also offer more flexibility as to where your lampshade ‘sits’ on your base i.e. where the bottom of the shade comes to on your base and where the top of it is above the bulb. This is where a little maths comes in handy, by working out the height shade carrier you will need (the component your lampshade sits on – also supplied by me) for the height of the shade.

Ceiling Shades
Purpose: These lampshades are suitable for all standard ceiling light fittings. They all come with adjustable and removeable widgets that can flex to the diameter of the fitting area.
Composition: They are all lined with fire resistant, purpose-manufactured vinyl or board (depending on your choice of shade lining) and are constructed with white, epoxy coated rings.
Sizes: They are available in the sizes shown in the listed product details. Where ‘Ceiling Shade’ is not displayed in the drop-down options, this is likely because it will be outside of a more regular ceiling shade size. I can make bespoke ceiling shades in a vast variety of sizes outside of those listed.

Custom Linings
My shades are available in 3 standard options; however, I can offer a much wider variety of bespoke linings for additional cost; including a thicker white vinyl, shiny metallic colours, alternative textured matt metallics and neon brights, to name but a few. I can also make shades with patterned, fabric or paper linings. Please see the Bespoke Styles & Sizes section.

If you are unable to select your choice of lampshade type in the ordering drop-down options, this doesn’t necessarily mean that I can’t make them to your preference. I have years of experience in handcrafting bespoke products for very discerning customers, who initially contact me for guidance and ideas. As a design specialist and devotee of one-to-one client service, I love nothing more than a customer asking me, ‘What do I want?’ or ‘I have an idea. Can you make it for me?’ This then springboards a journey through the detail to the ideal and utterly unique end product, often starting with a photograph of the room it’s intended for.
